Alternate Side Parking (street cleaning) regulations will be suspended indefinitely in Brooklyn Community Boards 6 and 18, joining previously-announced suspensions in Brooklyn Community Boards 13 and 15, and Queens Community Board 14. The additional suspensions includes sections of Red Hook, Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Park Slope, Gowanus, Boerum Hill, Bergen Beach, Canarsie, Mill Basin, Flatlands, Marine Park, Georgetown and Mill Island. The previously announced suspensions include Brighton Beach, Coney Island, Gravesend, Seagate, Sheepshead Bay, Manhattan Beach, Gerritsen Beach, Broad Channel, Breezy Point and the Rockaways. These localized exemptions will facilitate storm recovery in areas with the most extensive damage; street cleaning regulations in other areas of the city are reinstated as of today, 11/14/12.
