Happy Birthday, ūüéĀ NYPL -¬†On this date May 23, 1895, The New York Public Library #NYPL was founded. To honor their¬†125th anniversary, they¬†asked 125 people to talk¬†about a book they love or any published work¬†that inspired them.¬†

This video follows the release of a new anniversary list, 125 Kids Books We Love, featuring children’s titles that inspire those both young and young at heart to #LoveReading. Explore the list here.

Join in a wide array of supporters, from acclaimed authors to actors, musicians, and our own expert librarians to celebrate the power of reading to bring #USA together, even when we’re apart. Check out what they had to say below and find out how you can join in on the fun.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F31_uBz9CMI&feature=youtu.be

Last but not least, we want to say that one of our inspirations is Love in the Time of Cholera a novel by Colombian Nobel prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez. The novel was first published in Spanish in 1985. Alfred A. Knopf published an English translation in 1988, and an English-language movie adaptation was released in 2007.

Then finally, we should say¬†the¬†Lion¬†rocks, literally,¬†figuratively. Also, try their exceptional¬†DVD¬†ūüďÄ collection.
